Charging COWS!

Every time I make the drive to Erik's house, I feel that I should have my camera with me. The drive is beautiful and I keep picking out new places that would make great pictures. One of these spots is at a turn where cows are always grazing. I pass them and think... "that would make a pretty cool picture."

So, on Monday, I FINALLY brought my camera. I got the courage to stop at a few different places before I stopped to take pictures of these cows. When I reached the turn, I crossed my fingers that these cows were out there... and they were! YAY! I parked my car on the shoulder and got out. I was amazed at the sunset in the background and started taking pictures.

As I was taking pictures, people kept slowing down to look at me. I'm sure they were probably wondering "what the heck is this chick doing taking pictures of cows". After I took about 5 pictures, I noticed a cow running at me full speed. I got really nervous until I realized there was a fence between me and him.
I kept taking pictures...
More people kept slowing down...
and more cows kept running at me...

Here is the series of pictures:

You can see that first cow looking at me... he was the first to run...

Now they ALL see me...
Making their way over....
:/
Pretty soon all these cows were lined up at the fence...
 just lookin at me.

Okay... time to go.

Listen!

since i have the time...

I decided to check my junk mail account. You know... the one you give to stores and random websites that require an email address so they can send you things. I think I need to go in and delete a few emails. YIKES! 1,902!

the first!

Today marks my first class canceled this semester.

So, instead of downing my cup of coffee this morning...

I intend on sipping it!
:)

Have a great morning!

We'll call it... KELLY

Flowers

conversation at the drive up window.

Friday during work, I had been telling my coworker about my joke that nobody laughed at (see previous post) as well as other awkward or embarrassing moments I have experienced, and she was just having a great time hearing about these. Little did I know I was about to create another one.

A guy pulls up to the drive-up window and asks for a coffee with cream and sugar and hands me his deer themed "to-go" mug. Seeing this must have triggered my brain to use my recently acquired hunting knowledge. This is the conversation that followed:

Me: "Oh, do you hunt?"
Him: (looking confused) "ughhh... no?"
Me: "Oh. Ok...." (To my coworker: "A coffee with cream and sugar") I begin to put his order into the register.
Him: "Did you just ask me if I had a coupon?"
Me: "haha, no! I asked if you hunted."
Him: "Yea, I hunt."
Me: "Oh, bow opener is tomorrow. Do you bow hunt?"
Him: "Nope, not this year. (as he is trying to figure me out) Do you hunt?"
Me: "No... (i hand him his coffee)... but I'm a good shot!"
Him: "...." (drives away)

Coworker: "HAHAHAHA I'm a good shot! HAHAHA"

I'm pretty sure that man will never come back for coffee.

Todays Class Presentation

So, today in class i gave a presentation.
The last two people to go got 15 min to talk about their reflection on the chapter we had read that day. One girl talked (last week) about english phonetics and related it to how she speaks fluent spanish because she was in spain and yada yada yada.
The next guy got up there on wednesday and talked about etymology and how words are borrowed from arabic- because, yep you got it, he is fluent in arabic.
Now today was my turn. I was supposed to talk about how morphology was related to my life somehow.

I dont think you know this about me... but I really ONLY speak English. But in order to follow those presentations, this is how i started my presentation:
"Yea, well... im fluent in Italian.

... (pause)...

ok not really but i just felt like i had to say i was to follow those other two presentations."

I thought it was funny. but im pretty sure instead of laughing... i heard disappointed sighs.

great, now im a douche bag.
