What a day.

So... I have the best boyfriend everrrr!
Lately, I have been so frustrated with having to move out of my apartment, scrub it to death, and pack for my trip. I have been packing and cleaning at a turtles' pace for a while now and I felt like it was good.. up until a few days ago.
The girls moving into this apartment have contacted me and asked to move in early. Having been in the Winona area rental system before and currently, I know its a pain in the butt. All leases are "terminated" beginning halfway through the month until about 3 days before the end of the month. Which leaves half of Winona in a tough spot. No one has anywhere to go. So, I told these girls that they could begin moving their belongings in this week and that my stuff would be in my room while i was out of town on vacation. They seemed happy with this arrangement until two days ago when it wasn't good enough. One of the girls had emailed me back saying there wouldn't be enough room for my... MY... stuff in MY apartment I paid for until the end of the month and that it would be best if I moved out by the 28th. (Which happens to be both the day my lease says I need to be out and the day I get back from VEGAS...BABY.)
Anyways, I was a bit upset and in turn told the girls they would have to wait until the 30th and that was the best I could do... which is true. I hadn't heard back from them so, naive me thought I had won this battle. And, I had... until my landlord came and knocked on my door with his stupid pink tinted sunglasses.
Long story short, they had asked him to move in early and he came to see when I would be out. I explained the situation to him and explained that I could be out by the 29th or the 30th at the latest. Some things were mentioned about a trailer and lease dates and them moving into every room except the one with my bed in it.
After venting this afternoon to Erik about having to clean and pack and then pack some more, I texted him to tell him about my landlord. He calls me back to get the details and right as I am on the verge of another mini break-down, he is standing right behind me.
:)!
(see... I told you I had the best boyfriend)
We tackled the kitchen and kicked its' butt!! And I realize now... that without his help I would have probably been 8 breakdowns in come the time we left for VEGAS...BABY on Sunday. I still have a bunch of work ahead of me, but I feel that a huge portion was accomplished today.
YAY! GO TEAM!
Hopefully I can get packed for my trip to VEGAS.... BABY tomorrow morning and afternoon before work at 1.... and that my meeting with my landlord (to discuss him being upset that my mother called him) won't take to long.
Wish me luck!!!
Cheers!

Sweet Sweet Summer

I think today calls for a hammock and a glass of lemonade.
Who knew so much could change in such a little amount of time? The semester is over and I finished with a personal GPA accomplishment. The weather is great and guess what!!?! .. I GET MY VACATION! :) My excitement level is probably at a 15 on a 1-10 scale. I'm goin to VEGAS baby! And Im super excited because I get to go with one of the greatest people I know! ;) I am a little nervous because I have never really actually gambled... but I'm sure I will probably be a pro by the time I come back home with the new car that I'm going to win!!! hahaha!!!

Also, I'm flyin pretty high right now because I just got back from a great mini road-trip with Jess and Kelly from Winona to Chicago with a stop in Madison and back. And yesterday I got a visit from Erik and dinner with friends. Ahhhh!!!
LIFE IS SOOOO GOOD!!!!
:)
Off to pack up the apartment... ready for a new chapter!
Cheers!

DONE!!!!!

Ok, well maybe I'm not done with the semester just yet. I have a unit plan to complete but, of course, my Professor admitted to not being able to grade them until Tuesday and gave us until Monday to hand them in... so what do I do? I give myself a break. Now that I have until Monday and everyone is out playing, I feel as if I have to play too!!! So I am celebrating being done with the semester even though I have this unit plan hanging over my head. O well... it'll get done.
Cheers!
